10 seconds per question! Read the question and pick the right finance term — a master (★4) speed quiz.
The Master (★4) level uses a speed quiz on the terms you need to read economic news and the markets. The host throws out a hint, a 10-second countdown begins, and you pick the right one from four words like inflation or interest rate. You quickly pick up the words that appear in headlines every day.
The hint 'a general rise in prices' points to inflation, while 'the benchmark rate a central bank sets' points to the base rate. You build a feel for telling apart economy terms that look similar within 10 seconds.
This level covers market and economy terms: inflation and interest rates, the base rate and exchange rate, ETF and short selling, volatility and GDP, bull market and bear market. These are the ideas you need to grasp the big picture of why asset prices move.
For example, the hint 'a market that rises for a long stretch' points to bull market, and 'selling before you own it to bet on a fall' points to short selling. You'll also sense how exchange rates and GDP tie into the market as you work through the hints.
After 10 questions the host counts your score up with a drumroll and announces your total out of 10. The answer review lets you revisit terms like volatility, short selling, and the base rate. Seven or more is a pass.
