Finance Quiz (Adept)

10 seconds per question! Read the question and pick the right finance term — an adept (★3) speed quiz.

Investing terms, learned at speed

The Adept (★3) level uses a speed quiz on the terms you meet when you start investing. The host throws out a hint, a 10-second countdown runs, and you pick the right one from four words like stock or bond. The words you see daily in the news and your brokerage app finally fall into place.

The hint 'a certificate dividing ownership of a company' points to stock, while 'a certificate for lending money and earning interest' points to bond. Telling similar-looking investing terms apart within 10 seconds builds your core knowledge.

Stocks, bonds, funds, and diversification

This level covers investing basics: stock and bond, fund and index fund, dividend and market capitalization, diversification and portfolio, liquidity and cutting losses. These are the concepts behind picking holdings and spreading risk.

For example, the hint 'spreading money across many assets instead of one' points to diversification, and 'selling to lock in a loss' points to cutting losses. Working through the hints gives you a feel for why you build a portfolio.

Pass, and reach markets and the economy

After 10 questions the host counts your score up with a drumroll and announces your total out of 10. The answer review lets you revisit terms like dividend, liquidity, and market cap, nailing down anything that felt fuzzy on the spot. Seven or more is a pass.

Finance Quiz runs Rookie → Beginner → Adept → Master → Legend. Clear Adept and the next stage, Master, challenges you with market and economy terms like inflation, interest rates, and ETFs.
